- Norway keeps both Maundy Thursday and Good Friday as public holidays, which with Easter Monday makes Easter a five-day national pause.
- Constitution Day on 17 May is the year’s biggest civic celebration, parades included; when it falls at a weekend there is no substitute day.
- No substitution exists for any holiday — the inneklemt dag, a day squeezed between holiday and weekend, is the standard leave move instead.
