Working days in Slovakia, 2030
Slovakia has 250 working days in 2030: the year's 261 weekdays, minus the 11 nationwide public holidays that land on one. The month-by-month table below is computed from the same holiday data the calendar maker prints.
Month by month
| Month | Weekdays | Holidays on weekdays | Working days |
|---|---|---|---|
| January | 23 | 1 | 22 |
| February | 20 | 0 | 20 |
| March | 21 | 0 | 21 |
| April | 22 | 2 | 20 |
| May | 23 | 2 | 21 |
| June | 20 | 0 | 20 |
| July | 23 | 1 | 22 |
| August | 22 | 1 | 21 |
| September | 21 | 0 | 21 |
| October | 23 | 0 | 23 |
| November | 21 | 1 | 20 |
| December | 22 | 3 | 19 |
| Total | 261 | 11 | 250 |
- The fullest month is October with 23 working days; the lightest is December with 19.
- Counts use nationwide holidays only — regional ones (a state day in the US, a cantonal day in Switzerland) reduce the total further where they apply.
- Weekends are Saturday and Sunday. Half-day customs — a Christmas Eve afternoon, a Bayram eve — are not subtracted.
Which holidays are subtracted
The 11 nationwide holidays falling on weekdays come from the same dataset as the Slovakia public holidays 2030 page, which lists each one with the weekday it lands on — and how Slovakia's holiday system works:
- Slovakia’s calendar leans strongly Catholic: Epiphany, Good Friday, Easter Monday, and Our Lady of Sorrows on 15 September — the country’s patroness — are all days off.
- 1 January doubles as the Day of the Establishment of the Slovak Republic, the 1993 split from Czechoslovakia.
- There is no substitution for weekend holidays.
