Monday start calendar

Calendar 2026

Weeks that begin on Monday and end with Saturday and Sunday side by side — the convention across most of Europe and the one ISO week numbers are built on.

Monday or Sunday: it is a regional habit, not a rule

Most of Europe, and most of the world’s workplaces, start the week on Monday. The United States, Canada, Japan and much of Latin America start it on Sunday. Neither is more correct; they are conventions, and a calendar printed in the wrong one is quietly annoying to read all year.

Calendarloom picks a default from the calendar language you choose — select German or Hungarian and it moves to Monday on its own — but the setting stays yours. Change it once and the language stops overriding it.

What changes on the page

If you need the other one

The same generator does Sunday starts — change "Week starts on" above. Everything else, including the holiday country and the calendar language, stays exactly as you set it.

Pick a year

The settings above stay as they are — only the year changes.
