Portugal public holidays 2025

The calendar above is already set to Portugal holidays for 2025, ready to download as a PDF. Below is the full list, the weekday each holiday falls on, and the long weekends they create.
How holidays work in Portugal
- Portugal’s calendar mixes civil and Catholic holidays, and each municipality adds its own local day — Lisbon celebrates Santo António on 13 June, Porto São João on 24 June.
- There is no substitution for weekend holidays.
- Carnival Tuesday is customarily granted by government decision each year but is not a statutory holiday — it appears in the data as observed.

These are the dates as officially observed. Where a country moves a day off because the holiday itself falls at a weekend, the moved date is the one shown, which is why a date here can differ from the traditional one. 3 of these apply to some regions rather than the whole country; the generator can narrow the calendar to one region so only the days off that actually apply are printed.
Long weekends in 2025
Stretches of three or more days off in a row, counting weekends and nationwide public holidays together. Holidays that apply only to some regions are left out, since they would not give most people the day off.
