- Turkey’s two religious festivals — Ramazan Bayramı (three days) and Kurban Bayramı (four) — follow the lunar calendar and arrive about eleven days earlier each year; the dates are confirmed officially close to the time, and this data marks them tentative until then.
- The afternoon before each Bayram (arife) is a statutory half-day.
- Republic Day on 29 October also begins at 13:00 on the 28th — a statutory half-day most foreign schedulers miss.
