- The fullest month is March with 22 working days; the lightest is April with 18.
- Counts use nationwide holidays only — regional ones (a state day in the US, a cantonal day in Switzerland) reduce the total further where they apply.

- Ireland has ten public holidays, the newest being St Brigid's Day — the first Monday of February, or 1 February itself when that falls on a Friday. It was added in 2023, so older printed calendars miss it.
- Good Friday is not a public holiday, despite being widely treated as one; banks close, but there is no statutory entitlement. Easter Monday is the actual holiday.
- When a public holiday falls at a weekend, employees are entitled to a paid alternative — commonly the following Monday, which is the observed date shown here.
